Tense,
smouldering drama
combined with black comedy
Written
by one of Ireland's most successful
contemporary playwrights, this
is the last of the 'Leenane Trilogy'
and follows on from our award-winning
productions of The Beauty Queen
of Leenane' and 'A Skull in Connemara'.
The story focuses on Valene and
his smouldering volcano of a brother
Coleman who represent a modern-day
Cain and Abel. Their past and
present grievances are expressed
in daily bickering that at times
explodes into their wrestling
each other to the ground in deadly
combat. We also meet Father Welsh,
and Girleen, first mentioned in
'Beauty Queen'.
