"I don't care if they kill me. I don't care. But they're not going to kill my stories."

THE PILLOWMAN
by MARTIN MCDONAGH
11-15 NOV 2025
Main Stage

A viciously funny, seriously disturbing tale about a writer in a totalitarian state who is interrogated about the gruesome content of his short stories and their similarities to a number of child-murders that are happening in his town.

His brother has also been arrested. How can he be involved?

It soon becomes clear that there are many secrets...and many lies. Maybe his stories will hold the answers?

Martin McDonagh’s searingly brilliant play premiered at the National Theatre in November 2003.
